"A Chimera is a mixture of two individuals, non-identical twins who fused in the womb and grew into a single body. Some parts are derived from one twin, others from the other. Chimerics have two complete different sets of DNA. Depending on the tissue the DNA is havested from you will get different DNA results when DNA tests are performed"

I think that's kinda creepy, 2 twins fusing into each other.

No, they fuse when very young, so they are born looking like a normal horse, except they have those two colors. The brindle coloration can sometimes be genetic also.

Yehh but you can't produce a brindle horse by breeding brindle to brindle. You MIGHT... -have a sire which has brown eyes and is liver chestnut/black -have a dam which has black eyes and is liver chestnut/black -and the foal may have 'blue' eyes and be bay!
(Thats is one of the liver chestnut parts of twins had the agouti gene, which, along with black, causes bay.)

members.aol.com/brindlehos/index.htmSome horses may not be of the color brindle but still carry that gene and be able to sire offspring of color brindle, while some brindle horses may not carry the gene even if they have that coloration. I wish Howrse did genes instead of the color being random. It'd be more realistic that way.
