Someone actually believes this?? The IS and Gp of a foal are calculated when you accept the covering offer,after that you can't affect them in any way.

Wowee, I thought that working the mare while pregnant will improve the foal's IS.
And Spirit had coverings accepted! And A-A-F did too. And so did Sam. And so did my brother's horses Black Diamond and Shockwave. lol.

Sheesh you can't believe what they say

Now, what I'm wondering, is if the IS of the foal that comes from its father is calculated at the time he offers the covering, or at the time the mare accepts the covering. Like Pretty Classy Zip offered a covering to this mare when he had a BLUP of 70. The next day the mare accepted it, and by that time he had a BLUP of 92. So does the foal benefit from the BLUP of 70 or from the BLUP of 92?

Ok, I see. So when you get a covering from a stallion in the public coverings, you could be getting a negative BLUP, 0 skills stallion, that has Morpheus' Arms and appears to be 100 BLUP? No, I guess it would be listed as what he was when he offered the covering.
