I'm a pony Fanatic on Howrse, (but I only breed 1 breed), I was just wondering everyone else's opinion. Personally, Mine is the Newfoundland Pony. And well on the Howrse forums you cant do polls, so now I'm going to ask everyone opinion. Please tell what you voted!

I voted for the Chincoteague Pony because I love how they look and how they live in the wild. I have always wanted to see them in the wild and the round up. I think its so cool that they can become great riding horses even after coming from the wild. I love all ponies in general so I would have voted for all of them if I could have.

I voted for the Chinco, I guess for pretty much the same reasons as horses929, though I prefer the pics of the Australian Pony and the Welsh on Howrse. I generally do not like ponies, but I always say: "I've never met a horse I didn't like," so if it's an equine, I love it!

I voted Australian Pony, because...uh...Well, I like Jumping breeds. But no offense to Piggy. P.S. Connemaras are better at Jumping than Gallop, Howrse!

I think one reason I don't care for ponies is because the first horse we had was a Welsh pony gelding. He took advantage of us as novice riders and would gallop off and throw us against the corral panels lol. The person we bought him from said that the best way to learn to ride a horse is bareback. BIG mistake. It's not true. You learn with saddle, then take it off.

If Howrse had New forests I wouldn't get one! Mainly because I used to loan this new forest mare who was twenty-three at the time. She was stubborn, mean and did NOT do what you wanted! Then again, my favourite horse from the riding school is an Arab/Connemara cross.

That Welsh we had wasn't that small really, but I've heard that the smaller ponies can be worse since adults can't really train them because they're so small lol.

I've ridden a Shetland, he was totally out of control for riding, he bucked a lot (well, I was a bit too tall for him, but he bucked with his owner's 9yo daughter on, too!) and the other small 'uns I've ridden on are two 14hh new forest geldings, Tommy and Pixi. Pixi's an expert at countercanter when requested normal canter, he can even take the wrong lead in a corner (!) he's also called 'The Bucker'. Tommy's better, but he's only 5 so he can pick up a whole load of bad habits. He's also called 'Tommipommi', which translated to English is 'Tommy the bomb'.

I think that the warmblood/arab/tb×pony crosses are the best, mainly because they can be trained, and usually have good tempraments. (Note to self: if you eyer get a pony mare and decide to breed her, breed her to a proper horse.)

My horse Mani is a tb/Irish Draft cross, and watch your words, he nearly pushed the monitor outta the window! He's a bit energetic and heats up easily, but he's got adorable strides!

Wow, Mani's at the monitor?! In the house?! Near the window?! I've never known a TB, but of what I've heard and read about them, I like them because of their energy and spunk.
