What prices do you put on your horses? How much do BLUP, training, skills, Gp etc. affect the prices of your horses?
Try to put prices on these horses, so we could find the differing opinions.
Horse 1: 14y 5mo old paint horse Unicorn stallion, Speed, Dressage and Gallop training complete, 20 wins, Gp 358.49, BLUP 99.13, Skills 372.26, WOY, Timer, Hep. horseshoes. Speed & Dressage bolded.
Horse 2: 6mo old standardbred × filly, Standardbred 30.6 %; Paint Horse 24.4 %; Arabian Horse 22.8 %; Newfoundland Pony 16.0 %; Thoroughbred 6.3 %. Gp 235.08, IS 0.00; BLUP -98.00; no BM items, 0Gp quest.
So, how would you price those horses? How much would you be willing to pay for them?

I think with me BLUP, training, and skills is worth more than GP, just because I'm kind of against the GP race. Since everyone else seems to concentrate on GP though, I expect either to keep all my horses or sell for ridiculously low prices. Horse 1: I would put him up for 700 and 5 passes but would expect to be paid 5,000e after trying to sell for three months. I would be willing to pay 3,500e top or 500 and 2 passes. Horse 2: 2000e. And I'd be willing to pay 700e.

I dont know what I would say for the prices of those paticular exampes, but I find it silly some prices of horses, like I have Unicorns for sales at a cheep price and no one wil leven look at them and they have good GP and heeps of BM items and if I lower the price more I might as well give them away
But im a High GP newfie breeder anyway so I make my money that way and im in the GP race. But the fair prices you are selling for are til lto much and liturally I give mine awya somtimes and its like what is the point??

Ill try to price them, but I tend to go for everything and GP is always the biggst for me, skills thene other stuff
horse 1 : id agree with AngelMare 700e ad 5 passes, but if did not want passes Id ask more like 20,000e but I dont know is the GP said here is good or not, if Paint Unicorns have greenstars then Id drop it to about 15-17,000e
horse 2 : Um not much at all 550e would be my higest offer, unfortanatly cross breed just would not make any return despite the fact they are good it sucks some make a mint but more the 2 breed crossed really drop the value especially in a mare, and in stalions its twice as worse.

Yes sometimes it seems like there's no point unless you buy a bazillion passes a day and are one of the top breeders. But then you're spending real money and what's the point of that. I always lose money whenever I sell a horse, so I tend to hold on to them, but then their value really decreases and I end up begging to sell them. My barn is full of horses that once had good value because of their GP and now no one even wants to buy them.

AngelMare, try to put them in an auction at 500eq for 7 days. Works for me, and I get the best prices for the horseys.

I've tried that but they don't seem to sell. White Night for instance. He's an Arabian with 376.08 GP and 58 skills. He's an Arabian and their GP are very high. When I got him the GP's were like three stars and now like five stars, so he never really had a chance to sell. That's why I gelded him and hope to in the future train him up and making him a comp horse. So that's one of the examples of horses in my barn.

Train & BLUP. Some people are on a constant search for high-skilled horses, no matter what the Gp.

Some people dont look for whats really good in a horse and take the game far to seriously, I just wonder if people are really that obsessive, I mean in life you want a good personality, looks and well bred, on the game none of that accounts its all figures and mumble jumble...

Well, Howrse doesn't have personality, they mistake well bred for crossbred, and all horses of the same breed & color look same.

They should find someone who knows dynamic imaging; that's really awesome and would allow the horses to have the saddles and bridles on them, and possibly have markings, if it were put to good use.

Yes, it would, and using .gif, they could have transparent backgrounds and just the marking there, so only one image (.gif) per marking.
