I always name my horses after Roman or Greek mythological characters.

I think with me it depends. Quarter Horses have western names or part of their names have part of a famous quarter horse, like my horses Miss Poco Vee and Lee Bar. My Arabians usually have Arabic or Russian names, and my Thoroughbreds have British names. My PSH's have, of course, Spanish names. And all others are based on their parents like Divine Presence and Emerald's Pride, Arabian Tribute and Liberty Tribute (two twins).

If they are foals/grandfoals from Godless Glory, they automatically have 'Glory' in their names. Arabs: Greek names. Tb: two-words-names, eg. Flying Hooves QHs, Paints and such: it depends. Native American?
